Chemical hair straightening, also what's the best kind of flat iron or straightener?

I'm thinking of getting my hair chemically straightened, like, at a salon but will it ruin my hair?

Also what brand hair straightener will straighten my hair the best that lasts, like, more than an hour. Preferably atleast 6 hours.

I got mine permnently straightened AFTER i bought my straightener..... which is weird i know.

I bought a Remington straightener which works pretty good for me when i like to make it MORE straight in the mornings. BUT the bad thing about perm is that well with my hair, i HAVE to take a shower in the morning, or else my bangs will stick up. CHI is a really good brand, but the price goes like atleast a hundred bucks. Have fun!

yeah it does ruin your hair if you get it chemically straightened. expect split ends

I've heard that Chi is the best brand for Hair Straightener but they cost around the near hundreds. I personally, like the brand Revlon. It works just as well and it's only 24.99$ at Wal*Mart
