Chemically straightening dyed hair?

I've got super strong, resiliant hair.

I'm Puerto Rican and Italian, so it's just hard to manage, but none of my current hair has been straightened before.

So all of my hair is virgin, undyed, untreated hair.

I dyed the tips a shade or two darker than my natural color, if I waited a week and did heavy duty conditioning treatments every night, could I get it straightened a week after dyeing it?

I would be trimming my hair a bit after the straightening, but I'd like to be able to keep the majority of the tips.

you can get it straightened, but to avoid excess damage, you might wanna choose demi or semi permanent color which is milder than permanent color. plus, when you got it straighten, the color will fade....so, if you like to keep the color, straightening first, then color later.

I don't think they will let you. My friend coloured her hair and then asked for getting it permanently straightened but the hairdressers said it will be soo harmful to the hair...

But I'm not really sure. Sorry.
