This summer when i dont have school im planning to shave my head completely so it can regrow nicely. but i do not know if it will help repairing it from straightening damages.
I have short, naturally straight/thick hair , and i got it straightened several times for more than a year ago,( id say about total of 20 times in my lifetime?)
also im planning to straight my hair tommorow morning because its a special occasion. So will shaving my head fix everything and have totally healthy hair??
Does shaving head bald repair all the damages from hair straightening?
of course! You have fresh new hair that is untouched by chemicals, or irons or whatever you use. As a woman I have even done this-not by choice lol. My hair was platinum blonde and I decided to perm it-not so good. I had to shave it with a 1/2" guard, I left a little longer bang and stuff around my face where it wasn't permed so I could wear a half hair peice for a few weeks. Luckily I can wear short hair so like after a week I just rocked the gel and spiked it out. anyway-that's my funny story. Just try to take care of what you have really well to avoid having to do this again-unless of course you want to. Just remember to use good professional products and get regular trims! :)

get a trim, jus enough to get all the split ends off. then do a deep conditioning in your hair at least twice a week.
or you could try egg whites in your hair, let dry then wash out. or rinse your hair with beer.

shaving your head will take all the damaged hair off... so your natural hair will be what grows back. it wont be damaged until you straighten it again so if you want healthy hair again, id say shaving it off and starting from scratch is a good idea.

Let's put it this way,the hair currently on your hair is dead.Straightening it won't affect the hair that hasn't grown in yet.
Does shaving head bald repair all the damages from hair straightening?
It will probably take a very very long time to grow back but I wouldn't cut it because it won't help it at all and then you would have short hair for a long time

That's a radical solution, but yes, you would definitely have natural beautiful hair again. But why are you going to straighten it another time if you know it's damaging? And you say you have naturally thick, straight hair but yet, you get it straightened? It sounds like you don't understand your locks! Get a layer cut if the thickness is really what you're trying to control, without realizing it! What's going to happen if you do go bald? Are you going to straighten it after that? I'd suggest you strongly approach your hair dilemmas with a different solution. Thick hair on anyone should really be layered to get better workability. Have you ever tried that?

Yeah! The hair that you have already straightend is the only thing damaged. So when you shave it, it is just like trimming off your dead or split ends. I would do it!

Yes because all the new hair growing in will be healthy. You could cut it short and not shave it bald though.
Does shaving head bald repair all the damages from hair straightening?
Yes shaving your hair off will repair your damaged hair.
But I highly doubt you need to shave it. All you probably need to do it get it trimmed. Trim it every so often to get rid of the dead/damaged hair. Because you've only straightened your hair like 20 times I don't think its that damaged. Well at least not damaged enough to shave it all off. if you want healthy hair just keep it moziturised. use good conditioner and try hot oil treatments.
