How do you care for your hair after the chi hair straightening?

I got the chi hair straightening since im am moving to a very humid climate...my hair is straight but my ends look dead and dry...and they did cut the dead ends off 3 days after the process...im sure. Its really bothering me since i was told i would have perfect straight hair with minimal effort...what should i do about this?

just start a good conditioning regimine. The best conditioner I have ever used is joyco's reconstruct. It's amasing. I also own a Chi but i straighten it my self.

I haerd you should wash your hair for 3 days, then you should just care for your hair as normal....

I know once you've washed it you will expect it to go back to normal, but the hairdreser applied a serum on it which seals in all of the hair shaft's smootheness etc.

Be sre to use heat protection, because I think due to all of the new chemicals in your hair, if you dont it will just singe when it comes to heat styling

the chi heat products work really well, meaning they heat up really fast and are very hot. this extreem heat can really damage your hair... if it's unprotected. i have a chi straightener and i use the heat protection spay. it really helps. just be sure you dont use too much of it or your hair will be sticky.
