I bleached my very wavy brown hair blonde for 8yrs and blew it out every day, then I dyed it back to brown (over-the-counter brand) about 6 months ago and just had japanese hair straightening done last week. It's straight, but it's not silky or shiny. I'm wondering if it's just because it was so damaged to begin with or if there are some special products/conditioners/treatments I should be using now? Any advice?
What do I use after Japanese Hair Straightening?
I would try a deep conditioner and that should help with the dryness of your hair. Also let it air dry as much as possible since drying with a hairblower will make it more dry and damaged. Make sure to get regular trims to rid of the split ends and dryness.

I think that a leave in conditioner will and give your hair a silky feel and make it shine. A repair shampoo wouldn't be a bad idea either!!!
