A perm sometimes burn your scalp even if you go to the salon...but if you do decide to get it..GO TO THE BEAUTICIAN....let the beautician know that is is burning so it wont take out your hair...BUT YOU may still get scabs in your head... When you get a perm you have to take care of it (depending on your hair/washing it once a week , also keep it moisturize so your hair wont flake) but ...talk to your beautician and ask her how often you have to get a perm..so your hair won't break off..and how often you have to wash it...because if really depends on the texture of your hair...but defiantly keep it moisturize..Pink lotion is a very good moisturizer...

No, unless you have a very sensitive scalp. It has to be done right, not kept on too long. If you have the money, get it done professionally. If not, go to a beauty supply store, and get advice for your hair type. Have someone there with you to help and time.

A straightening perm only makes your hair fall out or burn the scalp if its put in WRONG. I recently got one in my hair and my hair turned out great. No hair fell out and my hair did not burn. Since you say your thinking about getting one, I take it it would be your first time. I advise you to go to the hair salon because its really hard to put it in yourself, plus since its your first time it will be hard for you since you dont really know what youre doing. I ALWAYS have someone put mine in. You should use the OPTIUM CARE straightener (its gonna be called a relaxer/perm) in the REGULAR strength since its your first time. You can get it at cvs,rite aid, etc. It has a black girl on the box but ANYONE can use it. My white friend got optium care and it turned out good. You also want to take care of your hair after the perm is done to so your hair will stay straight. Optium care has a whole line of products like spray,gell,etc, it would be best to use those with the perm kit. If you have anymore question or need help concerning the perm email me.

NO UNLESS YOU DID NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, DONT LET THE CHEMICALS TOUCH THE SCALP WHEN APPLYING, DO NOT SRATCH THE SCALP 2 DAYS PIOR OF GETTING A PERM, AND TRY USING A PERM WITHOUT LYE IN IT.
