Has anyone had GOOD experiences with permanently straightening their hair???

i'm looking into permanently straightening my hair and i hear all these horror stories about it then i see people with good perms. i've seen mixed women like me (im mixed-mulatto) with my kinda curls getting good perms and it turns out good. and with sooo many people saying how bad it is and their bad experiences with it is there ANYONE who has permanently straightened their hair and it look good or even GREAT? if u hav please lemme know. thanx!!

one of my good friend and her sister had their's done and it doesn't look bad. they didn't have any horrible experiences and they aren't having any problems. just remember when you get it done it is going to be pin straight. make sure you go to a place where they know how to do it properly. people with horror stories either got it done by someone without experience, or tried doing it themselves. also it isn't good for your hair, even if it looks good. no matter which way you choose to straighten it, your still hurting and damaging your hair. there are products you can buy to repair your hair just as there are when you use a flat iron. hope this helped.

I got my hair straightened~ (magic straight perm) and i loved it for the first 3~4 weeks, and than my hair started to grow. I have naturally semi curly hair, and it was growing out. If you have the time and money to get it retouched every 4~6 weeks, than you should def. do so! if not, just invest in a really good straightening iron and good serum. straightening hair will only take you max 30 minutes, and you dont have to do so everyday! since people should only wash their hair every other day, you'll be good for those two days! totally worth the $300 or so for the iron! GOOD LUCK! ;P

i had my hair permanently straitened but it burned my hair and gave me splinted ends and it didn't stay strait.so i f i were you i would just keep straitening it with a straightener.

I had my hair straightend after a perm and it looked really good the only downfall is your hair falls out in the shower and it damages it, so what I did was put treatments in my hair like vo5 and others every week good luck

I do! Just make sure its what you want to do - and you should straighten it every 6-9 weeks. Good luck girl.
