i have thin;medium/long;wavy/straight hair and when i straighten it in the morning its straight,but then about two hours later my hair gets wavy.why does it do this? and what can i do to stop this so it stays straight all day??

its probably humidity or your hair is too thick. you need to chemically relax it to make it easier to straighten and/or use a gel or cream that is for straightening that will hold it longer. also, avoid humidity when possible.

welll ur straightener obviously doesnt work too well so i suggest buy a new straighener. chi is really good. i have vidal sassoon nd that works good for my hair

If you really want your hair to be straight I highly recommend using a Chi Straightening Iron. It makes your hair stick straight but also keeps it straight. Also, before you use the Chi straightener blow dry your air so it is completely dry. Chi also doesnt burn your hair very badly. Also, I recommend using a mousse of some kind in your hair and also a straightening iron gel/ cream in your hair so your hair is protected from the heat. Good Luck!

if you live somewhere where it's humid, along the coast of anywhere, that's gonna happen. there's no way to stop it. try straightening spray which you can find by hairspray and that sort of stuff. good luck!

u dont straighten it long enough duh! actually i didnt kno this, so my friend told me. or maybe if u like, live in florida or sumthing... it could b the humidity

try blow drying it straight first.

Before you blow out your hair with the hairdryer and round brush. Use REDKEN smooth down on damp hair. Then for the final touches use a ceramic straightener.

I have super natural curly hair and I can get my silky straight. So it should work for you.

try using a straightening cream,but make sure it says on the bottle that it lasts all day,or at least for a while. and sorry,but i dont know why it does this,it might be that since your ahir is thin,and its wavy,that combo might make it want to stay wavy...
