I have really really curly hair! When i straighten my hair it becomes poofy so i want to use some products to keep it flat. Please tell me names of products to keep curly hair straight (when straightened) and where to find them!

ummm well i have curly hair too that also gets poofy and i have always wanted straight hair . I suggest you should use any silicone gloss for your hair. It will not make it straight but will help the poofyness.

why dont you try to relax it-? you can find relaxers for african american hair at -Wal mart and -Target. they ussually work pretty well, without a bunch of damage and they range from -$5-$20 for okay-to good ones.

i use paul mitchell serum. its pretty cheap and it works great. my hair stylist recommended it to me and now thats all i use. its about 5 dollars a bottle and its definitely worth it. it protects ur hair better then anything else i have ever used. you are probably trying a lot of different hair products and your hair is turning out greasy or you are experiencing a lot of split ends. dont worry i had the same problem. since i started using paul mitchell serum, i have been asked by so many people how i get mi hair so straight without frizz or split ends. so far i recommended paul mitchells serum to everyone of my friends that starighten their hair. they all love it! i will never try anything else. it smells like green apples and it is the best thing i have ever done for my hair. i hope i helped you. good luck !!!

my hair is also very curly i mean very curly and if the humidity gets to it then it will go puffy like you are saying. What you can do is use a straighting comb or a ceramic flat iron preferably a flat iron to get the end of your hair and wash your hair condition it as well and then comb it out use a leave in conditioner this will help keep in the moisture if not then wash out the ones that say rinse. Then blow dry your hair with a comb attachment or just blow dry it and comb it at the same time i did that one last night and then flat iron your hair once on a low to medium setting and then do it a second time only on a higher setting to make sure that it is completely straight and if you don't get it straight the way you want you can add a little oil to help smooth it out and give it shine or you can go through it one more time with the flat iron and some hair spray. When doing this I recommend using a flat iron and not a hot comb cause the flat iron will get the ends of your hair a lot better than a hot comb and you have less of a chance of burning yourself. Plus if you want to go back to curly hair all you have to do is wash your hair and you have your curls back.
