im thinking about getting my hair straightened (withthe thermal conditioning process) and i was wondering if its safe to get hair extensions after youdo it?

its alot of chemicals to put in your hair.....

What kind of hair extension are you planning on getting? the braid ons? the clip ons? or the one that has plastic and you melt it with an iron on your hair?

But really, I think it's safe, it's just extensions.. doesn't use chemicals..

maybe you can wait a while.

you want to get the extension attached to your healthy non-chemical treated part.

or you can ask your hairstylist to do it away from scalp a little more around the area you gonna get extension.

It depends on your hair's chemical history and what their technique involves. Without knowing exactly what's being used on your hair, I think that if you were to wait 7 to 14 days after the straightening you should be able to have extensions added. But that also depends on how healthy and strong your hair was before the straightening.

Ask the person who straightens your hair for their professional opinion.

If they tell you that you shouldn't put any more chemicals into your hair, then ask about non-chemical extensions (they exist). If the answer is that your hair is also too weak after the straightening, then you're stuck. You could concentrate on a gorgeous cut.
